Cicely Hodges

As the Housing and Community Development Policy Analyst, Cicely focuses on issues related to affordable housing and local community development policy, with a partial focus on Desoto, Manatee, and Sarasota counties.

Prior to her work with FPI, Cicely worked as the Pottinger Summer Public Interest Fellow at Miami Homes For All where she did policy research and advocacy as well as collective action work. At the Center for Ethics and Public Service, she was involved in community engagement and organization as well as FHA-related federal litigation pretrial work. At Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc., Cicely worked at the Tenants’ Rights Division, assisting low-income individuals and families facing landlord/tenant issues.

Living in a military family, Cicely has moved many times between multiple states, but has collectively spent 18 years living in Florida. She received a Bachelor's in Social Work as well as a minor in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Central Florida. She graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law.

In her spare time, Cicely enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, hosting vegan potlucks, and devouring pretty much anything in the horror genre.
