Before joining FPI, Sonia worked as a lobbyist for The Business Council of New York (BCNYS), specializing in education, workforce development and contract procurement issues. She has over six years of experience working in various communications roles at both BCNYS and the New York State Assembly, where she served as chief editorial writer, press officer and regional coordinator. She received her B.A. in psychology from the State University of New York at Albany. Sonia resides in Palm Coast.
