Max Tipping is a public interest attorney and social entrepreneur who has dedicated his career to economic justice. As Co-founder and Policy Director of Community Spring, Max works alongside formerly incarcerated people to reform unjust systems that trap people in poverty. His work focuses on policy and legal advocacy around fines and fees, employment barriers, and direct cash assistance. Previously, Max was a staff attorney and Equal Justice Works fellow at the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. Max holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.A. in political science and economics from the University of Florida.
