Dennis Amadeus is a nationally traveled spoken word artist, poetry slam champion, writer, teaching artist, and youth advocate. He is the co-founder of GrowHouse, a Tampa based, poetry & Hiphop artist collective, and is a member of the international poetry collective Black on Black Rhyme. Dennis leverages his influence and talents to facilitate poetry workshops and develop curriculum for young people and has worked with the Hillsborough Education Foundation to facilitate poetry classes to help youth define their lives and circumstances for themselves. Since 2013 he has run programming in high schools across multiple counties, jails, foster homes, shelters, and non- profits. Amadeus has been a featured performer at venues all across the U.S. from L.A. to FL to NY and many stops in between.
