
Amber moved to Florida in 2016 as an AmeriCorps VISTA to build the capacity of a newly created financial coaching program at United Way Suncoast. She later became a program manager for various financial stability initiatives across the Tampa Bay region including the tax assistance program, financial coaching, and matched savings for transportation, entrepreneurship, home ownership, and post-secondary education.
As the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Florida Policy Institute (FPI), Amber leads organization-wide initiatives including the Safety Net Advocacy Coalition, the Florida Timeline, and the Florida Policy Summit. She coordinates strategy across internal teams, external partnerships, and other special projects to ensure that FPI’s vision, strategy, and daily operations work in concert to advance equitable policy outcomes for all Floridians.
Amber has a B.B.A. from the College of William and Mary and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
